Some people actually believe that it's okay to text while driving, but only if their kids aren't in the vehicle with them. 🤦 So, you don't feel comfortable driving distracted with your children in the car, but it's perfectly okay to drive distracted with other people's children on the same road?! It's as if these people think it only involves them (the distracted drivers). Another bullshit excuse is that they've been driving for 40+ years and are "quite capable" of looking at their phone (literally, putting the phone directly in front of their face as they're driving). But that's okay because they were taught how to drive BLINDFOLDED! 🙄 It's only going to get worse because so many people just don't want to talk about it or speak up. Just because you don't know anyone who has (directly) caused or been involved in a crash caused by someone else due to distracted driving, impaired driving, or reckless driving, doesn't mean you shouldn't be against it now. It happens every single day. Whether you're male, female, young, old, whatever your race or sexual orientation, it doesn't matter. So, if you know someone who drives distracted, say something! Even if you're not in the vehicle with them but you know they're one to look at their phone while they drive, don't just assume they're capable. Every single person who ever caused a horrible wreck because they were distracted while driving, assumed they could make it without crashing. And now someone is dead or paralyzed due to someone's selfish choice to not care about having full control of their vehicle.
